The Art of Designing brings art, interiors and creative communities together through exhibitions, live art, events and collaborations with the design industry.

In October 2026, The Art of Designing presents The Art of Design at the Satara Sydney Showroom, an exhibition by Gaia Starace and Catherine Whiting exploring the relationship between original art and the spaces we inhabit.

Set within Satara’s considered furniture and interiors, the exhibition places original artworks in dialogue with material, colour, form and space, reflecting our belief that art and interiors can be experienced as part of one creative environment.

The opening night extends this idea through live painting, bringing the artistic process into the showroom and allowing guests to experience the creation of work as it happens. Bringing together artists, designers, brands and the wider design community, the event creates a space for conversation, exchange and creative connection.

The Art of Design reflects a broader part of The Art of Designing practice: creating exhibitions, art experiences and collaborations that connect art with interiors, people and place.
